EXPERIENCE WITH PALIPERIDONE PALMITATE IN THE TREATMENT OF THE FIRST EPISODE OF SCHIZOPHRENIA (CLINICAL CASE)

Abstract

The publication presents a clinical case of a patient with the first psychotic episode. The debut is mainly represented by neurosisNlike disorders that developed 3 years before the appearance of KandinskyNClerambo syndrome in the structure of the disease, resistant to treatment with an atypical antipsychotic and antidepressant combination. Aspects of the medicinal pathomorphosis of schizophrenia leading to the protracted initial period of the disease are analyzed. Therapy with risperidone and paroxetine did not lead to a proper reduction of sensory delusional experiences. A change of risperidone for paliperidone palmitate injections contributed to the formation of stable remission and the restoration of social functioning.
