The Strategies for Reducing Food Antigen Load in Patients with Autism Spectrum Disorders
Abstract
The development of approaches for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) as a polyetiological and heterogeneous group of neuropsychological develop mental disorders is a very urgent and difficult task. According to modern concepts, various organs and systems of the body are involved in the pathogenesis of ASD, which determines the need for a complicated comprehensive approach with the use of various therapeutic tools, each aimed at link in systemic immunometabolic dysfunction. This review examines the consideration of strategies associated with diets that limit the intake of certain food antigens in order to reduce the overall antigen load and inflammatory levels used in the complex therapy of patients with ASD.
