Abstract

There are still some unmet needs in schizophrenia treatment like the persistence of negative symptoms and unsatisfactory tolerability of antipsychotic therapy. This report is showing two clinical cases of schizophrenia exacerbation that required acute treatment. All of them were successfully treated with cariprazine. In the first case patient also had predominant positive symptoms. There were signs of therapy resistance and poor tolerance to most antipsychotics in the second case.
