Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome: diagnosis and treatment

Abstract

This publication presents recommendations for the diagnosis, differential diagnosis and treatment of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, developing in patients with schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder. The work gives detailed descriptions of clinical manifestations of NMS, presented diagnostic criteria and differential diagnosis, differentiated approaches to therapy. The publication is based on the analysis of own long-term research studies on the treatment of patients with urgent conditions in psychiatry, as well as the modern results of national and international research on this issue.
