Cognitive dysfunction in schizophrenia and its treatment

Abstract

The article deals with the modern concept of cognitive disorders in schizophrenia, the approaches to their treatment, including biological and nonMbiological methods. The results of the comparative analysis of second generation antipsychotics in the treatment of cognitive dysfunction are described. The possibility of adjuvant therapy, application of cholinergic, serotonergic, glutamatergic drugs is discussed. Experience of different psychosocial and neurostimulation methods’ application is considered.
