Atypical antipsychotic aripiprazole (Аmdoal) use experience in psychiatric practice: clinical cases

Abstract

In this paper, the clinical aspects of the use of modern antipsychotic aripiprazole (Аmdoal) in the treatment of various forms of schizophrenia and chronic delusional disorder are discussed. Analysis of 11 cases of pseudoneurotic, paranoid and simple types of schizophrenia and chronic delusional disorder allows tracing the differentiated tactics of aripiprazole use to effectively impact on the positive (delusions, psychotic anxiety and ideo-obsessiv disorders), negative symptoms and cognitive impairment. Each of the three presented clinical observations contains history, mental status, clinical analysis and justification of aripiprazole regimen in mono – and combination therapy based on the structure of the main symptoms and comorbid psychopathological symptoms.
