Biological Therapy Algorithm obsessive-compulsive disorder

Abstract

In accordance with the decision of the Plenum of the Board of the ROP, held on September 13–15, 2012 in Kazan, the section biological therapy begins a project to develop and discuss algorithms for biological therapy of the main mental illness. Algorithms are compiled by a group of experts based on an analysis of clinical studies performed in accordance with the principles of evidence-based medicine, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, as well as clinical recommendations proposed by international psychiatric associations and national psychiatric societies (World Federation of Societies for Biological Psychiatry, World Psychiatric Association, European Psychiatric Association and etc.). The stages of therapy and each method recommended in the algorithm are positioned in accordance with the following categories of evidence.
