On an example of this clinical case discusses and analyzes various acute antipsychotic treatment strategies. Particular attention was given to excessive sedation. Development of sedation is an important negative compliance factor in long-term therapy. Clinical case demonstrates the possibility of relief of acute psychotic symptoms without achieving sedation where not required agitation and disruptive behavior control.
